Stephen DelGizzo started the business of making faces in 1996 as a free-lance make-up artist. He went from hairstylist to a certified colorist, for one of the top hair color manufacturers in the world. Then to an international educator, which lead him to become a fashion make-up artist. This certainly was an easy transition, especially with his passion for the beauty industry.

Stephen's first success was working wonders as a guest artist for the leaders of cosmetics; Lancome, Estee Lauder companies, Christian Dior, Elizabeth Arden, to name a few. These experiences led him to an opportunity as the resident make-up artist for Chanel. During this period Stephen started to venture further into the business of fashion shows, photo shoots and even educating aspiring models in makeup artistry.

Stephen's talent was soon recognized by the consumer for his ability to create an individual style, which is unique to that person. This launched his career and was commissioned to make-up brides, bridal attendants, debutantes, prom queens and even drag queens!
Stephen at this time wanted to establish a company that took in all the above, yet would be unconventional to what is being offered at the department store or even at beauty salons and spas.. He certainly wanted to open a make-up boutique that would be synonymous with service. A one-on-one contact with the clients' needs rather than just what fashion seems to dominate!

Stephen's business went through many successes and this was the perfect time to make some changes. He rethought the business approach and decided to get on the bandwagon of internet marketing and sales. E-commerce creating a National Boutique open 24/7. This idea has launched makingFaces very own cosmetic line.
